What we don't collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, photos, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage analytics. There is no account system, no login, and no way for us to identify anyone who uses Little Clearing.

What stays on the device

Little Clearing remembers two small things so progress isn't lost between visits: your seed count, and which areas you've tried. These are stored locally on the device only, using standard browser storage. They never leave the device, are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and are erased if you clear the browser data or delete the app.

Children's privacy

Little Clearing is made for children roughly 6โ€“12 and is designed to be safe to hand over. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children. There is no chat, no user-generated content, no messaging, and no way for a child to contact a stranger through Little Clearing. We believe this satisfies COPPA and the GDPR's provisions for children, since there is no data to consent to.

Third parties

We use no advertising networks, no analytics providers, and no social media SDKs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your device's IP address as part of delivering the font files โ€” this is the only third-party request the app makes, and it carries no information about you or your activity.

Nothing to buy

Little Clearing is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no payment processing, so we never see or store payment information.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Our intention is for the answer to stay simple: we don't collect anything.
